The Law and Legal Responsibilities
H&D Electrical Engineering Ltd can help our customers to comply with their responsibilities and legal obligations as laid down by the law.
As employers, our customers (as well as ourselves) have a legal responsibility to their employees and to the public in general to ensure that the electrical systems and appliances within their site are safe to use.
We can help with your compliance issues as all of our installations and other works are fully tested upon completion and are supplied with all relevant documentation.
We can inspect and test existing installations and either provide legislative compliance recommendations or complete any corrective actions at your request.
Some of the regulations employers are duty bound to comply with are listed below, but there may be many more dependant upon your specific industry.

- The Factories Act 1961
- The Work at Height (Amendment) Regulations 2007
Failure to comply with legislative requirements can lead to huge fines and/or imprisonment. This not withstanding, many insurance companies require that approved and documented testing is carried out prior to policy commencement.
